Proper use of lab extruder – lab extruder operation inspection and shutdown sequence

Inspection of lab mini extruder laboratory operation
1. Whether the current of the main motor is stable or not, if it fluctuates greatly or rises rapidly, the feeding quantity should be temporarily reduced, and then gradually increased after the main current is stable. Speed adjustment should be carried out smoothly. The screw is within the specified speed range.
2. Check whether there is any abnormal sound in the gearbox and the main cylinder of the gear reducer. If there is any abnormal sound, stop the machine immediately and eliminate it.
3, machine operation should not be abnormal vibration, poor phenomenon, fastening parts should not loose.
4, check whether the temperature control, heating and cooling system works normally.
5. The water cooling system is smooth and free from leakage.
6, check whether the feeding material is normal and whether the screw feed is uniform.
7. Always check whether the head strip is stable and even, whether there is blockage, poor plasticization or overheating discoloration and other phenomena.
Normal shutdown sequence of lab mini extruders in laboratory
1. Adjust the screw speed of feeder to zero and press the stop button of feeder.
2. Gradually reduce the rotational speed of the main screw, exhaust the remaining materials in the barrel, clean the main engine with washing material before stopping, stop the twin-screw main engine after the material is basically exhausted, that is, the rotational speed is adjusted to zero, press the stop button of the main motor.
3. Disconnect the total power switch of the instrument panel.
4. close the inlet valve.
5. Clean the surface of the die head and the whole unit.
