Correct operation specifications for lab twin screw extruders(Open operation)
1. Preheating: Close the main power switch and the power switch of each section of the electric heater, set the parameters of each heating area (about 120 degrees) according to the process, and start heating up.
2. After the heating temperature of each section reaches the set value, continue to keep the constant temperature for 30-45 minutes (because it takes a long time to transfer the temperature from the cylinder to the screw), and further check the accuracy of the temperature control instrument and the solenoid valve.
3. Manual disc elastic coupling to determine normal, twin-screw mandrel and drive box to check whether the metal sleeve links to the drive box has been sliding. If you slip too much, it is likely to damage the meshing end of the mandrel root under high torque conditions, generally for some domestic twin screw manufacturers. Prepare to start the main motor, close the power switch, auxiliary power switch and start button, set the speed of the main engine, gradually increase the speed of the main screw, idle speed is not higher than 40R / min, time is not more than two minutes.
4. If the main engine of the lab mini twin-screw extruder is idle, press the start button of the feeder and adjust the setting of the feeding speed to start feeding at the lowest possible speed. After the material is discharged from the standby head, the rotational speed of the feeding screw and the main screw is slowly increased to match the rotational speed of the feeder and the main engine. When adjusting, the current indication of the main engine should be paid close attention to, so that the current of the main engine does not exceed the rated current, and the operation of the unit should be noticed. If there is any abnormality, the feeder should stop in time.
5, in order to avoid the high shear mixing superheating of the material, each section of the cylinder is equipped with a soft water circulation cooling system. Start-up stage, cooling system does not need to start, after running, observe the temperature rise of each section of the main engine, as the case determines the use of cooling system.
