Hartek – A new type of rotor for banbury mixer

Analyse as below:

  1. The main technical characteristics of the new rotor are introduced in detail from three aspects: mixing process, unique rotor configuration and excellent thermal conductivity. At the same time, the mixing mechanism of the new rotor is proposed and the mixing process of the new rotor is analyzed.
  2. Based on the previous experiments and theoretical studies, a new type of rotor with the common advantages of shear rotor and meshing rotor is designed.
  3. The physical model, mathematical model and finite element model of the new rotor are established. The mixing process of the new rotor is simulated by POLFIOW. The mixing index, shear rate, velocity field and viscosity field of the new rotor are analyzed.
  4. Formulate a number of experimental schemes to compare the rubber mixing performance of the original meshing rotor with that of the new rotor. Under the conditions of various process parameters, the internal mixer was tested, and the experimental results were obtained. The effects of two kinds of rotors on rubber Mooney, tensile strength and abrasion were analyzed under different working conditions, which provided basis and suggestions for future experiments.
  5. The experimental results show that by comparing the experimental results of the two kinds of rotors, it can be seen that the newly developed rotors have greatly improved the Mooney, tensile strength and wear of rubber, which indicates that the new rotors can be applied in future production.
